South Lakes High School Principal, Kim Retzer announced the school had a good holiday break with basketball team winter break wins for both the boys and girls.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team won the Wildwood, N.J. Boardwalk Basketball Classic, (BBC), with a Championship win, 62-37 against John Carroll on Dec. 29, followed by the victorious varsity win on Jan. 4 in away non-conference game against Westfield (Chantilly) by a score of 60-42.
The Girls Varsity Basketball defeated Lake Braddock, 46-39, on Dec. 27 to advance in the Bulldog Bash at Westfield-Round 2 on Dec. 28, followed by their defeat of West Potomac HS, 45-40 on the road, Jan. 4.
