Andy Bowden, of Provo, Utah, with sister Mary Beth Bowden, of Falls Church “I think one of the problems with causes like these is when we have a tragic event you get a huge amount of attention for about 48 hours until something more interesting comes around in the news cycle. And then we all forget how heart wrenching this is and we forget the tragedies. And so I think maintaining the sort of monthly event like this keeps it in the public eye and awareness and hopefully that will create movement to move forward some positive legislation.”
