Useful Services Exchange USE
One of the most inviting groups in Reston was established in 1975 and has helped hundreds of members since then. Members of Reston Useful Services Exchange, simply known as USE, perform services for each other for USE credit or debit hours, rather than for direct payment. Composed of an international, intergenerational population, members chip in $10 a year (or $20 for an entire family) annually to join in this neighbor-to-neighbor exchange. Need a trip to the doctor? A ceiling-high light bulb replaced? A child transported to a school activity? A friend to hold your hand during a health crisis? USE does it all—and even offers a "Just Ask" category for something not on the services list. www.restonuse.org or 703-873-7578
